The Emotional Inheritance workshop is designed to serve individuals and couples desiring to resolve their own life issues as well as therapists seeking to discover new ways of working with clients.
Each of us carries with us the sum of the generations that came before us—like an emotional inheritance that spans generations. Unresolved energy or emotions from previous generations can create profound, persistent problems or conditions for members of succeeding generations as they attempt to solve or re-solve the flow of love and energy through the family. The same love that creates entanglements in family systems heals when it becomes conscious.
This workshop is based on the highly original observations and therapeutic genius of German psychotherapist Bert Hellinger. Using the patterning of family constellations he evolved, participants will be assisted to explore and re-solve the emotional and energetic entanglements affecting their lives.
As the weekend unfolds, participants will begin to experience life difficulties from an entirely new, more resourceful perspective. As each person sets up his or her own family constellation or serves as a participant in another’s constellation, issues (of sickness, relationship, or personal or professional dissatisfaction or struggle) that were once thought to be “just the way life is” will begin to melt away.
Although offered by NLP Marin, no prior experience with Neuro-Linguistic Programming is required. When we learned of the Hellinger family constellation work in the late 1990’s, we found that it very nicely complemented and added to the
NLP model. NLP works directly with the internal life experience and belief representations that can keep us stuck. Hellinger’s model works with the energetic entanglements originating in the family system that can also keep us stuck. Both models begin with respecting what has been as an essential first step to change and moving on to fuller expression of our essential, unique selves.

Many of you have experienced the power of Family Constellations. Organizational Constellations apply the same principles in the context of businesses. They are used widely in Europe to reveal and often re-solve entangled dynamics in our work place and/or in the businesses we are creating. Work and Business Constellations will offer you a new perspective in the ways your personal experience, behavior and decisions are tied in with the systemic group dynamic of your business and/or workplace.
Based on the systemic constellations work of German therapist, Bert Hellinger, we observe the deep impact the relationships at the workplace and the history of organizations have on what works and where people and organizations get stuck. They offer re-solutions that clearly show you new choices and possibilities to move forward.
We also bring our personal family dynamics into the workplace and see them reflected in our careers. During this evening we will, whenever helpful, use constellations to clarify how our professional and personal spheres overlap and what internal shifts will bring new energy and expansiveness into our professional lives.
By working gently, honestly and directly with facts, rather than beliefs or our story, we can discover how our attitudes and stances contribute to the difficult situations we find ourselves in and how we can contribute to creating a shift in the prevailing dynamics.

Constellation Training
Nine Days (Three 3-Day Weekends)

Understanding Family Constellations is comprised of three 3 day weekends that provide essential ingredients and insights into constellations. First it is designed to give participants a solid grounding in the fundamentals of how constellation work is done. Secondly, it provides an introduction to some of the more sophisticated understandings and stances which lend increased elegance and depth to the work. And finally there is an opportunity to try these tools out and work directly with the field under the supervision of an experienced trainer and constellation leader. And, of course, everyone will get to participate in a many constellations.
Whether you are wanting to learn how to facilitate constellations, or you are intrigued and inspired by the profound depth and possibilities of the work and want an even more visceral experience of it, this class will help you to understand the underlying structure and poetry of constellation work and to find the places in you that respond to the energies of the field, and that can influence them in turn, in respectful and beneficial ways.

Family Constellation Evenings
Family Constellations are held from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM at the Novato Oaks Inn, 215 Alameda del Prado, Novato, CA 94949. The Constellations will be facilitated by Carl Buchheit, Michelle Masters, and Carla Camou. Each evening is $45, space is limited.
